According to the statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to May 2019, China's crude steel output was 404.88 million tons, an increase of 10.2% year-on-year. In the same period, steel output was 480.36 million tons, an increase of 11.2% year-on-year. The double-digit growth in crude steel and steel production has made the search for “steel demand” a problem that the steel industry has to face.
At the same time, the steel structure shows great potential for development. “In 2018, the output of steel structure was 0.6874 billion tons, the output of steel structure accounted for 7.4% of steel output, and the output increased by 11.84%; the output of overseas exported steel structure reached 1.117 million tons.” Recently, Deputy Secretary-General of China Construction Metal Structure Association The Construction Steel Structure Branch President’s Party Defence announced the development data of the construction steel structure industry last year to the whole industry at the National Steel Structure Construction Industry Conference.
The same double-digit increase indicates that the steel structure building is becoming a new force for “steel demand”.
